We will use a confidential question to understand, for example, your current employment situation, other sources of income (both now and in the future), level of expenditure, investments and any debts. We will ask about your family situation, general health, expected inheritances, upcoming major changes and so on. We will also ask about what your ideal future life looks like and your overall financial objectives. As part of the conversation you’ll have the opportunity to get to know us and our approach in as much detail as your require.

This initial call can be done either in person or via an online video call, whichever suits you best. It usually takes up to an hour. If we jointly decide not to proceed further, then the information you have supplied is permanently deleted.

On reaching mutual agreement that CAPS Lifestyle Financial Planning services are right for you, we can arrange to proceed with the signing of an agreement between us and a more detailed “fact find” process. At this stage, proof of your ID/address will be needed, and you may supply more extensive information on pensions (company and personal), other assets (including property), mortgages and other loans, insurance policies etc. We are more than happy to receive this information in whatever format is easiest for you and secure data transfer is facilitated as needed.

Our aim is to develop long-term relationships that are beneficial to both parties. First and foremost, we help to create and manage a financial plan that is consistent with your lifestyle goals. This may or may not involve recommending financial products to you, but this activity normally comes at the very end of the process and is often the least important part of what we do for clients.
